Snow Angels

We had ourselves a little snow day in December. You can see that Lucy's suit is a little big, and her hat is a little small. Not only that but she kept yelling "I'm stuck" periodically. The girls had a blast! And I was rather surprised by their stamina in the cold. They lasted about 2 hours.

New Year's Bowling

One of our favorite events of the holiday season is bowling on New Years Day with Uncle Blair and Family. Really, what am I going to do when these girls no longer let me put piggies in their hair? Also, you'll notice that Sabrina's ball says "Linds" on it. Despite my proficient bowling skills, I do not actually own my own bowling ball.

Christmas Morning 2010

Our Christmas really couldn't have been better. Lucy seemed to make a full recovery. Santa came. And you can see his elves left finger prints all over our television! How embarrassing. Here's some "just woke up" pictures. Isn't Lucy's hair a thing of wonder in the morning? Sabrina is posing with her new, culturally diverse Madame Alexander doll (named Teresa). Santa must be anticipating our move across the country and the cultural make up of Sabrina's Kindergarten class. Lucy is kindly letting Sabrina play with her slide and wouldn't smile at the camera to save her life. Merry Christmas to you all! Oh wait, it's January!

Christmas Happenings

Only a month and a half late. Not bad, eh?


Christmas Eve Night was a bit disappointing as Lucy got a fever that day and stayed home with Paul instead of going to our Ellison Family Christmas Eve Party. I tried to make the girls ugly Christmas sweaters for the party by knitting the ugliest pattern with the ugliest yarn I could find. But when I put Sabrina's ugly sweater on her, it turned out to be kind of cute. Too bad Lucy's matching one will never be worn or seen by the world. It's a crying shame. Nonetheless, we had a really good party this year with the talent show making a successful comeback. The Ricks Family Kazoo Choir made it's return after a 20 year absence.




Our Christmas Eve started out in style with breakfast at the Grand America with the Blackhursts. Those Blackhursts just seem to have the best ideas for celebrating. They really should write a book. Here's Subby, Lucy, and Kate enjoying one scrumptious breakfast and looking at the beautiful decor.


Sabrina's Christmas Program. This girl always knows when there is a camera. You can see that Lucy looks rather surprised at the program. Hey, her eyes are open and she's looking at the camera. We can't hope for more than that.

Our favorite date of the year is when the Petersons kindly take us to the Jazz game, where we get to sit on the fifth row and enjoy our Jazz (whom we may be giving up soon). This year we got to see King James and the Miami Heat. Score! But the Jazz lost. This also seems to be about the one time of year Paul and I take a picture together. So here we are!
