I've just heard about the Utah Valley Marathon to be held June 12, 2010. Perfect time of year for a marathon, perfect course (almost no uphill and a mild downhill the entire time), perfect scenery through Provo canyon and past Utah Lake, perfect location (no travel). All I need now is a training partner. Any takers?

Well, I would totally do it with you, but I'm pretty sure I don't have time to work up to that by June. However, I'm in for next year.
In for the 1/2 but I don't know if the full is my cup o tea!
Did you notice on the logo, "Pain you enjoy?" HA! What a load of crap. Did they mean that for the onlookers watching others in their pain and misery?...cause that sounds fun. Yeah, I'll be there...eating my chocolate cake and cheering you on.
Hmm... I might want to do that... although Aish's idea sounds a LOT more appealing to me!
Did Aish ask for a training partner? If so, I'm in.
If I were in UT I would do it with you. Good Luck!
Man, I will join Aish with her chocolate cake cheering you on!!!
Ok... maybe! I would love to do this to get back in shape but I don't know if I can train that fast? We could do our long runs together and it would be just like old times! I'll start working up my base and see how I do.
Lindsey,
I'm going to have to call you out on this and explain with a story. In my last area of my mission I had a young companion who was super excited about moving up the leadership chain. As the Zone Leader I intercepted his letter to the President and read his explanation that he was doing well but felt like he wasn't being challenged enough, etc. He then ended the letter with an open-ended question to the President - ?Que Hago?, "What should I do?" - which became a classic quote in the Colombia Bogata South Mission. So to sum it up Que Hago? translated = I would love to be made a Zone Leader or AP, and "Am I crazy to want to do this? = I am a hot chick that suffers from wanting to work out too much and will try anything once". By the way, how are you guys enjoying Jake the Bachelor. Love, Nate
I think I'm almost ready to commit to a marathon... almost. That's awesome! I think you should do it. If I wasn't doing the Ragnar a couple of weeks later I would seriously be tempted.
I am also doing the Ragnar a week later. And I'm still scared silly of a Marathon. But I want to do another 1/2 near the end of the summer. Wanna come to CO and we'll do it together??
